Prospect League to provide real-time stats

The Prospect League is pleased to announce it has reached a long term agreement with Pointstreak to provide real-time scoring, official statistics and league administration services to the league.

Pointstreak Stats' baseball platform will streamline the process of capturing and delivering game statistics. It will deliver those game events to the league and team websites in real-time for the benefit of players, fans, coaches, scouts, and media partners. A unique feature of Pointstreak's baseball statistical solution is Game Live, a real-time flash application that streams play-by-play baseball results over a 3-D graphical image of a baseball diamond. Pointstreak Stats for baseball is also geared towards the needs of media sources, providing Associated Press (AP) formatted box scores, allowing for easy reproduction of baseball stats into print media.

This stat solution will compliment live internet broadcasting provided by WDAN radio as well as 7 live radio broadcasts on 1490 WDAN.

The Prospect League (formerly the CICL) is one of the elite and most recognized collegiate summer leagues in the country. The Prospect League is the highest level of amateur baseball played in the nation. It has been in business since 1963 and has provided professional baseball with more than 800 players-more than 175 of those reaching the majors. The Prospect League's new commitment to growth and strength is based upon providing players and fans a true minor league experience while continuing to provide affordable, family fun through the game of baseball. The Prospect League plays a 54-game schedule and covers five states throughout the Midwest.
