MEADOR NAMED WCC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Senior outfielder James Meador of the University of San Diego baseball team (Dans 2007) was been named the West Coast Conference Player of the Week.

Meador, a 6-1 senior from Ramona, Calif., helped lead USD to a 3-1 record last weekend to open up the 2010 season. Meador led the USD offense as he went 8-for-14 (.571) with two doubles, one home run and a team-leading six RBI. In Saturday's game two of the double-header against Indiana University, Meador went 4-for-5 with one double, one home run, two singles and fell just a triple short of hitting for the cycle. Meador is also boasting a .600 on base percentage, and slugging at a .929 clip.
